How is everyone in the blogging world doing today? I hope all is well to whoever may be reading this right now, and if you are reading this, feel free to always leave a comment or just a little message, and I will be sure to return the favor to you. So, today was just a mellow day so far. I had my modern english grammar college class this morning, which went well which is always a good thing.

Then, I arrived home and decided to eat my mexican food from last night and decided to watch the tape from last night of my new favorite show called six feet under. Now, I am just resting up before my day at work, which is going really well. Today is my last day of the training, and the girl who is training me is heaven sent and really sweet. So, that will get me out of there by at least 8 tonight. Now, my mom is doing that whole protective thing with me since I will be walking home when it is already dark out, and I promised I would call her as soon as I came home. But, that is a mothers job, which I think is cool.

For now, I am just gearing up for work, and will keep y'all posted on how things go tonight,

GOD BLESS FOREVER,

Mellie

SUNDAY IS FINALLY HERE

November 26, 2006

Well, if you can believe it we actually have some warm weather and the sun shining here again. I finally began my training at my new job. Let me tell you something I learned today, when you work really hard, the time literally flies right in front of you. So, that was my morning.
For dinner, thinking of having chinese, and then watching some of my favorite shows on tv.

What are your plans? Anything interesting?

SATURDAY IS FINALLY HERE

November 25, 2006

Well, today is yet another sunny day in Livonia Michigan. Yesterday was definitely a busy day for mom and me. The day after the holiday always is, but this was different. I thought that my training would begin because I was told by a manager to come in this past Friday. So, I come in looking all confident and ready to be put to work, just to be told to come in on Sunday. So, I will keep my spirits up and see what happens tommorow.

So, we just did the normal shopping, and I finally got the book I have been wanting for the longest time: the mommy chronicles. So, it was nice relaxing day, and today should be less busy but hopefully the same.

God bless

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Well, it is that time of year where we are supposed to give thanks for all the good things that have been happening to me. Well, today I got some good news all around, and things seem to be looking up for me here at our new apartment. Today, I went on a job interview at McDonalds, which is just literally a hop skip and a jump from my house. I went on a scheduled interview, and my training begins at 9 on Friday. So, my prayers were answered on that one. And I am really excited about it, so for all the bloggers who may be reading this, if you could just say a little prayer or leave a message of encouragement, that would be greatly appreciated.

In other news, tonight I did my usual things. I went to my new ceramics night tonight, and of course with the holidays coming up, people are busy so there were few people there tonight. I worked on some projects and chatted with the ladies there, which is always a good time.

There is something on my mind that I just wanted to share with you, because it happened in my community and city of Livonia this morning at a local high school. A young boy was assaulted in the cafeteria by another boy supposedly because of a girl. So, the boy was going into convulsions, and there was blood everywhere, and he was airlifted to a university hospital. But, I was just watching the nightly news and he is going to be fine, so thank God for that. I just think what that boy did to him was awful. That happens all over the place, and it pains me to think that kids that are smaller than other bigger kids get bullied all the time for no reason, so keep all victims of bullying in your prayers tonight, and also for the bullies themselves, just all pray that they will come to their senses, and whatever in the world goes through their minds when they do these senseless crimes, they stop and heal from those wounds.

Thanks for blogging and have a very safe and violent free holiday,

Day Seventeen:

Monday evening

Well, I didnt have a whole lot of chances to go outside to see the weather around here today. But, I did notice it was sunny for a good portion of the day and the weather seemed to be chilly but at least the sun was shining. I woke up a little later than usual, so I barely got to say good-bye to my mother. Then, I kind of floated back to sleep listening to the radio like I normally do. Then, I had to wait for the cable guys to get here to fix the phones yet again.

After that, I watched some qvc and checked my e-mail. Now, I am just sitting down eating some chinese food, and resting up for school tommorow. This week is a short week for some, because of the holiday coming up.

Lot of love,

Mellie

Day Sixteen

Sunday Morning:

November 18, 2006

Well, today is yet another chilly and gloomy day here in Michigan. I know, not the most positive weather, but I will try to make it positive. Yesterday was a pretty busy day for me. I woke up a little later than I had wanted to, and did all the usual things around the house. Then, I had to go over to my grandmas and babysit my little cousin while her mother went to a surprise birthday party for a friend. Now, believe me, that little girl is a doll, but our grandma is a very mean lady sometimes. Ever since her husband came out of the hospital and has been homebound, she has been the meanest woman in the world. It is getting so we all cant stand going over there and being around her. Today, I am catching up on laundry, eating Mexican food, and trying to have a nice day.

What are your plans???

Day Fifteen

November 14, 2006 Wed. Night

Well, today has been very gloomy, rainy, and cold here in Livonia. It has been raining all day, and not to mention I have a very bad headache and feel achy from either stress or allergies. Yesterday, I finally got the biggest rock lifted off my tensed up shouders. I registered for classes at school, and boy did it cost me a pretty penny.

Today, I rested up most of the day and then at night I went to ceramics class after not going there for a few weeks. I picked up my already done stone, and now am making a snowmen teapot, so that should be really cute.

Hope everyone has a safe and healthy week, and hope to hear some comments,

Day Fourteen

Well, I am going to be writing about my Sunday dinner last night. A woman by the name of Diane gave me the idea when I was reading her blog the other night.

My mother and I decided we would try a new Chinese place near the new apartment called Lucky Inn. I got fried wontons, eggdrop soup, and one egg roll. Lots of great food there.

And that is my brand new Sunday Dinner post

Hope everyone is keeping warm and safe, and happy Martin Luther King JR day today

Day Twelve

Day Twelve:

November 12, 2006 Sunday Morning

It is a chilly, gloomy day here in Livonia Michigan as I am writing my blog. I haven't written anything lately because I have had stress in school and trying to find a close job within walking distance of my apartment, and I thought I had a head cold all last night, but now my head is as clear as ever.

Last night, I had a nice evening out with my mom because we went to Logan's steakhouse. And we thought we were going to try and stay up late to watch a movie, but because of both of our busy schedules, things went differently and we both fell asleep. No plans I can think of today.

Reccomendations:

I went to see the movie Borat on Friday night with Kenny. I would give that movie three Mellie's, in other words three stars. I liked the whole movie except for some nudity. That is my reccomendation for people who enjoy going to the movies, and enjoy a good laugh now and then.

Books:

The Mommy Chronicles is a great book for new mothers. It is a book with e-mails from two expecting mothers leading up to the birth of their children. There is also a website. www.themommychroniclesbook.com, and you can go there for a link to their radio show as well.

Have a good week,

Mellie

Day Eleven

Day Eleven:

November 9, 2006 Thursday Night

Wow, I cannot believe that it is already November. My, how the time flies when you are somewhat having fun. I am sorry about not blogging for the last several days. I have had a lot going on in my life right now, and just needed to take a breather, which I am sure everyone out there knows all about that.

So, on to my day today. I woke up an hour earlier than was needed for college class today lol. So, I thought since I was all ready for school and Kenny wasn't due here for at least another hour, I would relax in bed and watch the rest of the show I had taped from the night before. Just when I am all cozy and comfy in my nice warm bed, the phone rang. I knew it had to be Kenny, because I don't know what other crazy person would be calling that early besides him. He got confused too, because we both forgot my class did not start until 9. So, I did the nice thing and invited him in to chat about how things were going.

He is still pushing forward with his plans of going to Arizona State, and hopes to be down there with a good-paying job and the whole college experience. Now, while he is baking in the sun, next Fall, I will be in beautiful Putney, Vermont. Now, they say that leafing season in Vermont is heavenly. And I have never been there in the Fall, so it will be pretty exciting to see the colors of the leaves. I am still excited about moving up there, but also nervous as anyone would be if they were leaving their home for the first time ever. But, I always can call Kenny because he is the same boat as I am.

Today was a pretty stressful day, because I had an exam in my class at school. I have never been a good test-taker, and let me tell you, even though I got to use my notes and my book, it was still hard as heck.

So, my plans for the remainder of the evening are to listen to my favorite new radio show, which I highly reccomend for all the bloggers reading this blog: The Mommy Chronicles. They have a website: www.themommychroniclesbook.com. Now, to get the radio show for free in the archives section, and their new broadcasts are every Friday from 1:00-2:00PM, you need to go to www.hayhouseradio.com, and click on either programs or show hosts, and under show hosts, click on Sara Ellington. That will bring you to their page, and then you can click on the previous shows or any shows you want to hear, and all they need is an e-mail address from you and a password. Then, you can listen to the show anytime you wish. They are also on Satellite Radio Sirius. Channel 114 LIME. Just a reccomendation. And then, my mom is going to be watching Monster-IN- Law with me, and I hope she thinks its as funny as I do.

Tell me your plans, and thanks for this amazingly wonderful Fall day here in Michigan

God Bless,

Day Ten

Day Ten:

November 4, 2006 Saturday Morning

Well, it is a really typical sunny Fall day here in Michigan when I am writing this to you. I woke up a little earlier than most people would on the weekend, which was around eight, and my mom and I went to Dunkin Donuts for coffee, and what else? Donuts. Then, we had to hurry up and come back here to wait for the repair guys to fix our water heater.

I was pretty bummed out that I had to miss my ceramics class, which was pretty hard for me to take. So, it is going to be another day here speant all by myself; cleaning, homework, watching North Country which I rented for free at a video place by our house. So, let me know what your plans are for the weekend. I would love to hear them.

God Bless,

Day Nine

Day Nine:

Thursday Night

Well, it has been one heck of a day here in Michigan. It started out sunny here, which is always nice regardless of the weather, and then it became gloomy and snowy-- I know, snow already if you can believe that. Well, I would be telling you all about my college class today, but I did not go because my ride left me for a better place-- Arizona! Yeah, I know.

He called me this afternoon to let me know how his college visit went at Arizona State. I was so excited for him when I heard the excitement and enthusiasm in his voice over the phone. He loves it there, and I couldn't be happier.

Now, back to my dull and dreary day. I am so guilty as to say I am still in my pjs, if you can believe that. I know. It was just one of those rare days where cooping up under the bed was not a bad choice. I watched a movie, read some of my book, and basically just relaxed all day long. Except for some e-mails to schoolcraft and then to Landmark about what I need to do to transfer to Vermont in the Fall. Now, I know what you are all thinking: is she going to stop blogging up in mountains?? Heck no. Never. This has been the best relaxation tool for me so far, and I would hate to give that all up now.

Now, what are the plans tonight? Well, I still have a really cozy bubble bath awaiting me tonight, and that is always awesome. I always like to listen to Dr. Laura in the bath, which sounds silly, but is all fun at the same time. Then, if I am lucky, will sit down to watch one of my favorite comedies, The Office. Then, my mother should be getting home around that time with dinner, and we will chat about our days'. And then we will listen to my new online favorite radio show: The Mommy Chronicles. Now, that is an awesome show for all ages, and I encourage you to go to www.hayhouseradio.com, and listen to their show hosted by Sara Ellington and Stephanie Triplett. It is the most amazing show ever.

Now, I might write back tomorrow if I am not too busy, which I never am for blogging. If I don't hear from you, I hope you have a safe and aweome weekend, and hope to hear those comments coming in very soon.

Day Eight

Day Eight: November 1, 2006

Wednesday Afternoon

Hello to all the bloggers who are hopefully reading this. It is a sunny day here in Michigan for once, and I heard on the radio the weather is not too bad either. I got a little bit of a late start this morning, so as I am writing this I am yet again in my pajamas.

I had a rough night last night. And since writing is my go-to option for stress relieving, I will write about what went on. My father passed away when I was 7, which is why I am in Michigan still today. He left my trust money for education with two lawyers/ trustees, that I have barely known until 10 years later. Now that I am 18, college comes into play. I am planning on leaving Michigan again to start a whole new learning adventure and scenery adventure in Putney, Vermont where I will study for two years at a college called Landmark. That college specialized in helping children with learning disabilites, which I have add really badly.

My trust is willing to pay, and I was all set to go in the Fall, and yada yada yada, but then one of the trustees called me last night with a whole new problem: there might be a chance to get in there in January. At first, I thought it was an ok idea. But then, why would I want to go right in the middle of the year when everyone has been there longer? I really would rather wait until Fall.

That was just one thing that made me upset, is the way she manipulates me on the rare occasions she does decide to call me. I just got off the phone with Kenny, who just landed in Arizona, and he says it is beautiful there. I will have another Kenny update tommorow, if I hear how he likes the college he has been raving about for what seems like forever.

Much Love,

Mellies Place
